Funeral Planning is not something that ordinarily comes to mind, and it can be a rather foreboding idea. Nevertheless, exercising some foresight in this regard is beneficial, and can result in at least a slight alleviation of stress and anxiety when that difficult time arrives. Please know that the Gathering Room and even the church itself is sometimes used for the time of visitation (“viewing”) prior to a funeral. Schedule permitting, that request is very welcome and is in fact encouraged. The Parish Hall is often available, schedule permitting, for a meal after a funeral, with catering provided by Doug’s Dinner Bucket. Ordinarily and in-person meeting is scheduled to plan the funeral itself. In order to prepare for that, please see the Funeral Liturgy Planning Guide (below) for assistance in planning the funeral mass.
